Dear Ladera Little League Family,
While we don't want you to panic, we want to make sure that our members stay informed and that we are doing our part to share the information we have been provided. We care deeply about the safety of our league members and their families. As the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues, we want to provide you with an update and address any concerns.
We are monitoring the spread of the virus closely and encourage our league members, volunteers and their families to follow these CDC recommendations:
- If you or your child feel sick, stay home. If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or cold/flu symptoms, please stay home or keep your child home from school and rest. If symptoms get worse, call your doctor.
- Wash your hands frequently. Wash your hands with liquid soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol to disinfect your hands. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes. Use a tissue to cover your cough or sneeze and throw the tissue in the trash, then wash your hands. If you don't have a tissue within reach, cough or sneeze into your elbow.
Additionally, we recommend that equipment be disinfected frequently, with particular attention to surfaces that are often touched or shared...helmets, bats, catchers equipment. This will help to mitigate the spread of any virus.
