Happy New Year Ladera Little League Families!

The time for player evaluations has arrived! Please carefully read this email to ensure a productive and efficient process. Please also make every attempt to attend one of the scheduled evaluations listed below so that the league can evaluate and place players into the appropriate division.

Who should attend an evaluation session?

• Baseball and softball players age 9 - 14 who are new to Ladera LL 
  
• Players who want to change teams (re-entering the Minor or Major baseball division draft) or who are planning to move to a new division in spring/summer 2023. For example:
  
  • player would like to move up from the Rookie division to the Minor division; or
  • player would like to move up from the Minor division to the Major division; or 
  • player would like to move up from the Major division to the Junior division. 
    
• Players in the above categories must attend an evaluation session to be eligible for the upcoming Major and Minor baseball draft.

Who does not need to attend player evaluations?

• Rookie and Tee-Ball players need NOT attend the evaluations if they plan to remain within the Rookie & Tee-Ball divisions.
• Previously drafted players returning to their spring season Minor or Major division teams do NOT need to attend evaluations.

What do families need to do to prepare for evaluations?

• Players must be registered (or on a waitlist) to participate in evaluations. Registration for all divisions will close on January 19.
• Players will need to bring their own glove, batting helmet, bat, and wear rubber cleats.
• Evaluations will include throwing, fielding, catching, running, and batting.
• Location: 5401 S. Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90056 on the Junior/Softball Diamond (field 3 at the bottom of the park)

Players need to attend only one of the below sessions.  Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of start time to check-in and warm up.

Thursday, January 12th
Majors/Minors (League age 8 -12) - 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm 

Friday, January 13th
Majors/Minors (League age 8 -12) - 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Saturday, January 21st
Majors/Minors (League age 8 -12) - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Sunday, January 22nd
Majors/Minors (League age 8 -12) - 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Juniors (League age 13 - 14) 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Monday, January 23rd (only if necessary)
Majors/Minors (League age 8 -12) - 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Juniors (League age 12-13) 7:00 - 8:00 pm
