Game Notes One of the more exciting games of this
early season. The A's took the early lead but the
Dodgers kept coming back. Going into the last
inning, the Dodgers gained the lead for the first
time, up 12-11. In the top of the fifth, the A's
scored three to go up by 2 runs, but the Dodgers
came back in the bottom half of the inning to tie
the score. Big kudos to the Dodgers from the A's
coaching staff.

This was a battle of the last two undefeated
teams in the minors. Entering this game the
Tigers were 2-0 & the Cardinals were 3-0. This
was also the first time these two teams had
played each other since the championship game
last season. Once again the quality of play was
high starting in the 1st inning as both teams
were unable to score. The Cardinals were able to
put 3 runs on the board in the 2nd inning with
key hits from Aaron Eden, Myles Stafford, & Mike
Bearden. Desmond Gates continued to add to his
RBI numbers with a 2-run triple in the 3rd. The
Cardinals were swinging the bat from the top of
the line-up all the way down to the bottom for a
total of 8 hits. There were several good plays by
Avery McCoy & Ezra Moore on defense by the Tigers
which held the Cardinals from adding to the
score. Ezra Moore had a diving play off the mound
to rob the Cardinals of a big hit. Once again
Adari Lesley pitched an excellent game for the
Cardinals. He struck out 14 batters in 5 innings.
The Cardinals were able to put runs on the board
in the 3rd & 5th innings to bring the final score
to 12-2. The umpire called the game in the 5th
inning.

This was a close game between the Cardinals and
the Pirates. Both teams scored early in the game.
The Cardinals scored 5 runs in the 1st inning
with solid hits by Desmond Gates, Nick Robinson,
and Aaron Eden. The Pirates were very patient at
the plate in the 2nd inning. They were able to
score 4 runs by getting 5 walks and 2 hit
batters. The Cardinals were able to extend their
lead later in the game by scoring 5 runs in the
3rd inning and then 3 runs in the 4th inning. The
highlight of the game was when Adari Lesley hit
his 1st Little League homerun. It was a 2 run
shot to deep left field that cleared the fence
and landed half way up the hill on the Major
Field. Of course the Cardinal parents as well as
players were very excited. The umpire stopped the
game later that inning with the bases loaded for
the Cardinals due to the time limit rule.

runs. The Dodgers did not let the early deficit
get them down. They came back in the bottom of
the 1st inning to score 2 runs. The Cardinals
finished the game with 15 hits and the Dodgers
finished with 2. The game featured the season
pitching debut of 2 Cardinals, Myles Stafford and
Aaron Eden. Myles did well for his 1st time
pitching and went 2 solid innings. Aaron Eden
then came in and made a big splash. He struck out
the side in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th innings. The
final score was 11-4.

This was a match between the 1st place Cardinals
and the 2nd place Tigers. As usual when these 2
teams play, there was plenty of energy in the
stands. Parents, managers from other teams, and
board members were in attendance. Both teams had
quality pitching. Avery McCoy from the Tigers had
10 strikeouts and Desmond Gates from the
Cardinals had 10 strikeouts. Desmond almost
pitched a complete game which is unheard of in
the Minor division. He hit the last batter of the
game in the 6th inning on his 75th pitch. Aaron
Eden came in and ended the game with a 5 pitch
strikeout. The difference in this game was the
hitting. The Tigers had 1 hit. The Cardinals had
6 hits which they turned into 5 runs. The
Cardinals were lead at the plate by Antoine
Moten. He had a double and a single. Other key
hits were by Nick Robinson, Adari Lesley and
Aaron Eden. With this victory the Cardinals are
now 10-0.

the game MVP and awarded him the game ball for an
excellent outing on the mound. Logan Bush was
announced the defensive player of the game for
his great job behind the plate. Other notable
plays included a beautiful line drive catch by
Cyrus Johnson at 3rd base, and a two run R.B.I in

This game seemed to have low energy from the
beginning. Maybe it was because it was cloudy
outside or the fact it was a Thursday game.
Whatever it was, the players soon heated up once
the 1st pitch was thrown. The Cardinals were able
to score 3 runs in the 1st inning. With quality
pitching, Desmond Gates of the Cardinals was able
to keep the Tigers off the board until the 3rd
inning. Desmond Gates and Myles Stafford were the
offensive leaders for the Cardinals. Desmond went
3 for 3 and Myles had two doubles that drove in
runs. The game was stopped by the umpire in the

was 10-2.
